Challenges of enclosed UST Projector:

Heat Dissipation:

UST projectors are expected to be in open space due to the fact that they dessipate lot of heat.The generated heat can eventually damage the UST projector if heat dissipation is not accounted for.
The fundamentals of heat molecules is that they are lighter than cold air and always travel in upward direction.The design and placement of the UST projector should be done in such a way that there
exit pathways for the heat to vent.Ill take couple of examples to explain taking some scenarios:

Case 1:You build a cabinet where you have enclosed the UST Projector inside the cabinet.You need to make sure you add exhaust fans to send the hot air out,especially when the UST is running.
The power connection to UST projector and fan should be coming from the same point so that when UST projector starts the exhaust fan also starts at the same time.
We saw many customer built the custom cabinet with no vents and they started looking for new projector after couple of months of usage so be careful.
There are variety of exhause fans available in market but you need to pick the exhaust which does not interfere with your sound system.

Case 2:You are mounting your UST projector upside down above the ceiling.In this case due to low ceilings some people opted for making hole in the ceiling and placing the UST projector above the ceiling.
The common mistake which most of the implimenters do is to close the top portion of the space created to accommodate UST projector.Heat molecules being lighter tend to acumulate heat in that region raising the temperature
in that area and eventually damage the UST projector.So users should make sure the vent from that specific area is attached to the exhaust vent in you home.

Micro Adjustments:

UST projector when placed inside the cabinet,looks fantastic but it also poses issues with respect to setups where there is fixed screen to which this UST is projecting.Mapping the image of the projector to
screen is extremely important and in this case when the UST projector is inside the cabinet it makes it even more difficult because you will be provided with adjustments below the projector for angle changes and
you can adjust them only If your hands can reach there.

Other Units Impact:

One other equipment which generates excessive heat is AVR.You need to make sure that UST Projector and AVR chambers are separate and one equipments heat is not impacting another.

Angle of projection:

Every projector projects at certain angle.If you want to have the cabinet designed for specific projector,Then you need to make the cuts accordingly but at times due to height adjustment (room dimensions)
and screen size adjustment the cuts you make may not be accurate.
